Before you start  your torrent site, you may like to plan for future expenses, as running a torrent site is costly and from my personal experience donations don’t suffice for the costs, and specially in new sites people doesn’t even donate even when you give then free uploads or ratio fixes. Most people hit and run on new sites. So those who are wondering how to make money from torrent sites you are in right place. Content locker : Content Blocker or Locker locks the content and hence disables people from downloading unless they finish some pay per action PPA. The best company offering PPA in market is Adscend Media. Payment on per action varies from 50 cent to $15 based on its conversion rule. I don’t suggest using content blocker for main site, instead it should be used in screenshot or snapshot pages, also they can be done for all download pages.

Affiliate Marketing – This is my favorite method, for affiliate marketing you need some knowledge in SEO and marketing itself, but this is the highest paying method you can even use this method even if you dont have a website by cleverly integrating it, My friend who have a torrent site earns around $800-900 from affiliate marketing every-month without doing anything. I was originally using torrent strike and i mainly transferred to this script as it looks good and supports external scrape, integrated imdb easy plugin system and many other features. Truly saying at first i was very happy with the script but later i realised its pretty security freak script banning every ip, without support of multiple downloads for same user which really was a drawback to me as i sometimes release torrents in public sites. More over this script uses encoding and has many excess stuffs which are not needed but takes up my whole system ram and processor, its very system heavy. I will not recommend this if you have low budget and can’t get yourself a great server, or if you want a script which you can mod it to suit your needs. I will also not recommend who wants to release torrents in public. Moreover i find the script admin and moderator panel highly complicated. This script is only for sites who wants to have very secure site and lots of restrictions in site, or want to have ssl layer. For a general regular site this isn’t worth investing.

Summary

There is no summary to this i can’t pin point and say that “this script is for you”, its better you try the script yourselves and check which suits your needs and also your knowledge and you are better off to go with that. But as for general conclusion, i think you should obviously try Xbtit. and if you have money to spare you can go for Templateshares, though i dont think you should opt for that considering its encoded and you can’t suit your needs, but its all about your wishes, maybe you’ll find templateshares better than others. The other script mentiones are also worth trying and lastly it all depends on your needs and your pocket (not only on script but also on the server). There are many other script i haven’t included practically because either they are still in Beta or are ols and are not being developed. Some of them are Yana Scaturi, Gazelle, YAFTC etc.

What you can do next is visit BVList, and check out all options throughly and get recommendations from other users using such scripts.

So What Should You Use

It ultimately your decision and you yourself should check out the features which you want and you find usefull, but in my opinion i found instant form creater to be allrounder with most features, no code hiding, unlimited form creation, unlimited domain and easy creation and embedding.

6) Lwis Dropdown Menu Framework - Highly recommended for new learners, the framework is total CSS and modular, the cdes are easily deployable and can be transferred into horizontal, vertical left-to-right, vertical right-to-left, horizontal linear. It has cross browser support but has minimal javascript for IE and ofcourse superfast. I has some inbuilt templates which mimics various big sites such as Adobe, Flickr, Nvidia etc.

7) Web 2.0 Dock Menu – Web 2.0 dock menu by 2210 media is derived from whalesalad.com, the menu pops up when ever the mouse hovers on a particular area in header and goes away on mouse out, the animation is smooth and fast and is majorly supported by browsers. The menu it self looks cool and though not totally web 2.0 but its elegant with its transparency.

CSS Dock Menu – Though the name is CSS Dock but it actively dependant on jQuery. This ones my personal favourite and i’m sure all mac fans out there will like it. It comes with 2 dock styles top and bottom. I don’t know how feasable it is for using in regular sites but its very good thing to study.

9) CSS Sprites 2 - This is a tutorial on using jQuery to built sprite type menus in normal CSS, Javascript instead of Flash. The tutorial is really good and shows you all steps in creating the menu. The menu example shown is really cool and worth looking to it.

10) jQuery Animated Navigation -  This tutorial and source is brought by nettuts which has numerous high quality tutorials under its hoods. This tutorial shows a really cool navigation created by jQuery and CSS, ditching Flash which was almost a nomenclature for cool menus for few years ago.

11) Lava Lamp – Lava Lamp by ganesh is yet anather jquery menu, with cool sliding effect in the background, i have seen many versions of this menu in different sites and they were implemented really cool ways. So this is a must addition here. Moreover the menyu script is just 1KB in size !!

12) Phat Fusion Image Menu – The name suggests its not regular menu but an image menu, this is really cool way of interacting with visitors. The menu have been constructed using mootools javascript framework. The images cooly reveals more of it when mouse is hovered over it. It stays open when clicked.
